All the nutrients needed by human body for healthy living is found in plant foods. Nuts, especially soybeans contain all the essential amino acids. Although methionine essential amino acid levels in soy is not high but it does not mean nothing. Conversely lysin essential amino acids levels are low in rice and corn, but high in soy. If a vegetarian or vegan eat rice or corn with tofu or tempeh, so the need of essential amino acids by body will be fulfilled easily. Especially protein in tempeh was split into free amino acids are easily absorbed by the body. Increasing on amount of free amino acids in tempeh ranged 4-5 times compared with soybean.
Being a vegetarian does not mean poor of proteins. Adult protein requirements range from only 10% -12% of total daily calories, or 0.8-1 grams of normal weight. This dose can be sufficient from vegetable sources.

Another thing that is a big mistake not only among the laity but also from health workers,  that vegetarians or vegans do not eat meat would be weak. Feeling listless is often associated with vegetarian pattern, arising from the body’s energy shortage. In fact, the main source of energy from carbohydrates, not animal or vegetable. We all know that the main energy source in our body is only carbohydrate found in vegetarian or vegan plant foods, while meat is not carbs.

Adult women need 1,500 calories to 2200 kcal per day. Selected types of carbohydrates should be complex, such as red together, bread wheat, or beans, because the energy of this carbohydrate type can survive much longer.
There are several essential amino acids found only in animals and humans are still needed. If amino acids can be made not from animals, would be very good. Communities should have started a lot to reduce the consumption of meat, for health, environment, energy saving, and curb global warming.

Many people think that being a vegetarian have to face a series of challenges due to limited types of food. As alternative sources of animal protein, the choices are about tempeh and tofu. No wonder when you eventually get bored and the end evening meal. The effect is body would be limp easily. Mushroom stems are now being hunted by many people. Being a vegetarian is no longer a tormented burden.
