Women at high risk of breast cancer after undergoing a hysterectomy seems to get the benefits of using tamoxifen to prevent breast cancer. But, this breast cancer drug type is allegedly causing more severe symptoms. Tamoxifen, which was introduced in 1978, is as a drug to prevent recurrence and spread of cancer they have suffered after tumor removal surgery. However, these drugs increase the risk of more aggressive cancer in the healthy breast by more than four times.

All medications have risks and benefits, if you judge it is a balance to most women, the benefits will far outweigh of the risks. Possibility new cancer developments at second breast cancer, found that women who use the “tamoxifen” for five years faced a possible 60 percent to not affected sensitive estrogen tumor compared with no use on the second breast, and 40 percent smaller attacked by a new tumor any type to second breast.

Breast cancer experts are concerned about breast cancer patients that if they knew about the study has been done on the dangers of tamoxifen, will stop to use the drug. While one reason notes that the use of these drugs is to prevent a recurrence and spread of cancer they have suffered, which it will ultimately result in death. And many cancer experts believe another thing, by its danger, the breast cancer patients should not make it as an excuse to stop using tamoxifen. Because one thing to remember is, tamoxifen at least save lives while not save breast cancer.
